A beautiful day

14 June 2016

Summer is not where in sight at the moment. It is rainy and cold at the moment but I am ok with that. The plants in the garden are thriving (as are the weeds) and everything is green and lush. Exams are well on their way so the bad weather is really a good thing as the kids are less inclined to want to play outside.

I have a layout to share with a picture taken this winter. I am not a winter person but really enjoy the beautiful scenery when it snows. I created this page with one idea in mind: LOTS OF CONTRAST. I used white, blue and black, added layers with tissue paper and a little splash of pink ink. I love the bold look.

I also had my first layout for the Altenew DT posted last week. A new video is coming this week but first here a look at the layout I created. You can find the supplies and explanations in the original post here.

Hearts galore

8 June 2016

In scrapbooking there are motifs I love more than others. I have a soft spot for circles and HEARTS. I'd put them on every layout if I could. Today I wanted to share a layout I made using this shape.

I starte by cutting out a large heart with my cameo and cut out some smaller one. Then I played around with them layering them and filling one in with button and enamel dots. I also added some stitched hearts. They were made with Amy Tangerine stitching templates. I still use these a lot and I think they are such fun to use.
I loved the blue patterned paper and decided it would be the main colour of the page. I really love the flow of this layout and that photo is so sweet.

Pop by later on this week as I'll be sharing my first layout for Altenew.

Happy Scrapping.

SO EXCITED

26 May 2016

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by May Design Team and marketing director at Altenew (http://altenew.com/) . I wasn't expecting it at all. I really felt it was time to wander back into the world of scrapbooking and the idea of being on a DT really tickled my senses. So I accepted. I am thrilled and over the moon of being part of the wonderful team. I can't wait to start showing you projects made with their AMAZING products.
I'll be back soon with some more projects.

Here we go ...

15 May 2016

I had big plans for regular posting etc ... but pain got in the way again. I have got a layout to share and I will be back on a more regular basis. At least I hope.
I created this layout with the idea of really using very little because I LOVE the patterned paper from PinkFreshStudio. I added some colours using watercolours and then created two clusters. One with the photo and a second one on the right to create flow and balance. It is simple and very whimsical and I had fun playing with my paints.

The next layout was created a couple of weeks ago but haven't had time or the courage to post it. Sitting it a real nightmare at times. Once again I added some watercolours. I drew a couple of hearts and painted them. I love adding little details like this.

I'll be back in a couple of days with more layouts to share.

Have a lovely evening and week.

Hello Love

6 April 2016

As promised I'm back with another layout and a video. I wanted it to be simple and focus on the photo of my husband and I. There aren't a lot of photos of us two and those we have are precious and special.
