From the archives ...

5 March 2017

A couple of years back I worked for Esprit Scrapbooking a French scrapbooking magazine. I  loved working with them and friendships have grown out of this experience. I miss them dearly but they have all moved on too and are doing so well.

As opposed to some other magazines I have created for all our projects were made especially for the magazine and we weren't allowed to share them until after a year. I made so many projects I think I forgot to share most here on my blog but I really wanted to share this mini I made. It is one of my favorites.

The mini was made using SWIRLCARDS products.

I also created a layout for the same issue as the mini.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Next week is going to be fun and there is a giveaway planned. Have a wonderful Sunday.

More halves

28 October 2016

In my previous post I talked about an article that I had written for Esprit Scrapbooking. The theme was halves and this layout is a second interpretation of it. Here I opted to use half of the page but I divided the page diagonally. I was a bit afraid that there would be too much white space but it looks so pleasing to the eye. I used scraps from older Dear Lizzy lines. I loved those polaroid frames.

I be back soon to share some DT work. Have a great weekend.

Happy Scrapping.

Half

25 October 2016

It is me again. Today I'll be sharing a new layout with you. I created it for Esprit Scrapbooking and the theme was halves. I created three layouts showing three different interpretations of halves and this is the first of the three layouts. I show the other two later on this week.
Here I divided the page in two and worked on the left hand side. The right with it's bold striped pattern doesn't need anything and the layout is balanced.
Stop by tomorrow to see layout 2.

A favourite of mine

24 October 2016

I stopped working for Esprit Scrapbooking a year ago and after 2 years it was hard and I still miss some aspects of it but it was just too much. With the children growing up and needing more help with their school work I just couldn't continue creating every month. It wasn't fun anymore. My last creations for them are some of my favourite and I can finally show them. Here is one which I LOVE. I adore the colours and the simplicity. It is not often I can say that I really love a layout.
What do you think?

Back to school

1 September 2016

It is September which means BACK TO SCHOOL for the kiddos but also for mom. It is a difficult month transitioning to new routines and working around my teaching timetable trying to fit in some scrapbooking moments. I'm working on some new projects which I'll show soon but today I wanted to share some older ones which I haven't shared because they were in Esprit Scrapbooking.
This layout was made using one stamp stamped with different colours and then I just added embellishments.

This is a mini book I made using packaging.

Green

24 August 2016

I'm back to share another layout with you which was published in Esprit Scrapbooing in an article I wrote using IZINK inks. I love playing with inks and creating fun effects. I kept the overall design simple and focused on creating a bright backdrop with inks. It is amazing to see how far one can go with very few supplies.

What are your go to supplies and can you create a layout using a minimun of products?

See you soon with some big fun news and happy scrapping.
