Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Lotus Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

The lotus is such a spectacular flower. Its symmetry and elegant beauty are simply stunning. The lotus has a life cycle unlike any other plantIt submerges every night into river water and miraculously re-blooms the next morning. In many cultures, the flower is associated with rebirth and spiritual enlightenment.

Colouring such a wonderful flower isn't easy but I had a go at it using Altenew Valley Sunshine Artist Markers Set F.

I stamped the image to the bottom section of my card base and coloured the leaves and flowers. For the water, I used a soft blue and went over it with the Altenew Blending Marker to create a soft water look.

I love the effect the blending gave the water.

Altenew Classic Imagery Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Today's release is filled with some amazing products. It was really hard to pick a favourite but I really love all the 3D embossing folders.

I used Bunch of Balloons and Alocasia 3D Embossing Folders to create two cards.

I love making simple cards. My Bunch of Balloons card consists of two green panel which I embossed using the folder. These two pieces of cardstock are two sheets from the Green Meadows Gradient Cardstock. I made sure the sides would match up and then I added some details using a white pen.

I kept the sent simple and used the For You Fancy Die Set.

For my second card, I embossed the Alocasia leaves on a panel of white cardstock. I added some coloured details using the Altenew Woodless Watercolor Pencils.

As focal point, I stamped a butterfly using the Dovetails Butterflies Stamp Set and cut it out with coordinating die. I used the same colours as the details on the leaves. A simple SMILE sentiment with an enamel dot finish it off.

This release is simply stunning and there is something for everyone. I created a layout and a card. Let's have a look at the layout. I used the Enchanting Beauty Stamp set and coordinating die and created a fun rainbow inspired look.

I stamped one of the long leaf slings several times in different colours and arranged them along the top of my layout. I astamped some of the more compact images to use as embellishments and used the Halftone Hearts Stamp and Die set to create hearts from leftover paper I coloured with the red ink used on the leaves. The ink colours are from the Rainbow Prism 6 Crisp Dye Ink Mini Set.

A great way to draw attention to a photo is overlaying it with elements. I usually hide unwanted space on the picture this way and it highlights the main parts of the photo.

A couple of enamel dots in similar colours finish off the look. Super simple but so colourful.

The card was such fun to create and super easy. I ran some black cardstock through my die cut machine with the Banana Leaf 3D Embossing folder and then coloured the leaves in with Altenew Metallic Watercolors. Isn't the result stunning?

What has caught your eye in this release? I love so many of the products but the 3D embossing folders are my new favourites.
