For today's hop, I decided to do something different. I love colouring the PAF sets but I wanted a cleaner more graphic look for this card.
With the Altenew Obsidian Black Ink I stamped a couple of Carnations on the bottom part of the card. I tried to add a diagonal to the card by placing the flowers in such a way that they are lower on the left and higher on the right.
For contrast, I cut out a strip of black cardstock and with an old punch added a simple bord. For my sentiment I picked out a brightly coloured cardstock and cut out the word congrats.
The colours are simple but striking and I'm really happy with how this cards turned out.

Hello and welcome to the GEometry and Nature Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from Jenny Colacicco's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.
Stencils are super fun to use and like a lot of Altenew Products super versatile. I created two projects: a card and a layout. I really proud of myself venturing more and more into cards and I'm starting to feel pretty comfortable making them.
For my first card, I used the Modern Circles Stencil.
I wanted to use in a different way than by blending colour over it. I placed it onto some cardstock and traced around the edges with a pencil. I pulled out lots of pretty artist markers and coloured in the half circles.
I traced around the edges and added a double line and some pips to make my half-circles lool like watermelon slices. TO finish it off I added a sentiment in the centre. It is one of favourite projects from this month.
On my layout, I used the Sphere Stencil and once again went for a simple design. September is super duper hectic and going simple brings me the joy of being creative and seeing a project come together quickly. When life gets busy my crafting takes the simple route.
I blended several spheres in three different colours letting them overlap slightly. I cut out some floral and leaf elements from a patterned paper from the Enjoy the Ride Scrapbook collection and added some chipboard elements too.
Which stencil has caught your eye?

For today's hop, I created two projects: a card and a layout. The card was made with the cute Merry Reindeer Stamp and Die Set. I loved colouring this cute reindeer and creating a holiday card. I think this will be the theme for my cards this year.
I decided to go with dark craft paper as base colour and add traditional green and red tones. The red is a patterned paper from the Cheerful Meadows 6x6 Paper Pack and I used a strip of green and gold washi tape called: Emerald Gold Washi Tape.
I coloured the Reindeer in with Artist Markers and stamped a sentiment inside the paper scroll.
For my layout, I used the Kind Reminders Stamp Set. It is an online stamp set that comes with coordinating dies and colouring stencil.
I created a black and white background with some of the floral images and also stamped some images separately which I coloured with the stencil. With some extra embellishments, I put together my layout making sure to still have enough white space which I find very pleasing to the eye.

Welcome to the September Craft-A-Flower Anemone Blog Hop and Giveaway.
When I got the set, I knew I wanted to use grey on black. I looked through my cardstock and chose a couple of greys that worked well together. I also added a bit of white for extra contrast.
The card is very simple and is composed of two blooms and two leaves. I decided to use the detailed die cut as leaf and didn't add the base layer.
For my sentiment I used a printed sticker and added it to the black cardstock.
I really love the contrast created by these colours and I'll definitely be using more grey in the future.
