I am really enjoying the Paint a Flower sets. They help me practise my colouring skills. For this set, I used the new Watercolor Essential Set.

I created a simple stamped card and went with the classic colours one would associate with an iris. I mixed colours to create a purple colour I wanted to use. The watercolours mix easily. This is an excellent set to start water colouring.

I'm really happy with how the colours turned out especially the yellow centres. I added a couple of ink splatters and sequins for extra detail and pops of colours.

Today's release is AMAZING. As a scrapbooker, I LOVE patterned papers and these 6X6 Paper Packs are STUNNING. The bright colours are perfect for Spring which is just around the corner.

In Belgium, we are currently being urged to stay home so having some pretty papers to craft with is ideal to keep busy.

For today's hop, I created a pocket page to go with the layout I created for the Altenew Scrapbook Blog.

I cut out the papers to fit my pockets and created embellishments but cutting out flowers from the patterned papers. I love the versatility of a pretty paper.

By layering patterns, I was able to create different looks that still work together. It is really easy to do and I love the look of a double-page spread.

Altenew Mini Delight: Strength Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Altenew Mini Delight is released monthly and features a 2x3 stamp set with a coordinating die/die set. Although the sets are small, they are incredibly versatile and can be used to create a variety of projects! The themes of the sets span across our full range of categories (including floral, geometric, sentiments, and more) and we are confident that it will delight you from month to month!

I created a simple card using this cute little stamp. I decided to use Spicy Yogurt Cardstock so add some subtle detail.

Stamp your sentiment in the middle of your card base.
Stam 2 feather images to surround the sentiment.
Add a washi tape border for a splash of colour.
Embellish with some sequins to add a hint of sparkle.

Altenew March 2020 Washi Tapes Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Today's release is probably my favourite because it features one of my favourite Altenew products: WASHI TAPE.

For my layout I used the following selection of tapes:

Painted Dots Washi Tape
Rose Petal Washi Tape
Painted Grid Washi tape

How to:

Line up strips of Rose Petal Washi Tape on some smooth cardstock. I overlapped the edges about 1/8" of an inch and started with the lightest colours working my way towards the darkest shade going back to light.
Cut strips of the newly created background.
Place them on your project in alternating directions to create a "woven" look.
Add contrasting tape to either side.
Choose a photo and fun embellishments. I cut out some flower shapes from papers from the 6X6 Alluring Blooms Paper Pack.
