Hero Arts and Altenew Partners Blog Hop

The stamp for today's hop is this amazing set. I knew I wanted to use it to work on my watercolouring skills.

How to:

Stamp the floral image using very light ink. I used Altenew Buttercream.
Colour the image with your favourite watercolours. I used the Altenew Watercolor Pan but you could also use the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers or any other watercolour medium.
Once the image is coloured and dry add some colour to the background. I went for soft blues and greens.
Finish off with some ink splatters.

I still have so much to learn when it comes to watercolouring but I am getting better and better each time I practise.

Altenew February 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the Altenew February 2019 Stamp, Die and Mask blog hop. If you have hopped over from Emily Midgett's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop on the Altenew Card Blog.
I created a layout using the Trendy Circle's Stamp and Die set:

I stamped the circles in different colours using Pink Diamond, Dark Chocolate and Dew Drop. I created two vertical rows of cascading circles on my 12" by 12" photo and added a thread of twine to connect the different circles.

I created some flower embellishments by cutting out flowers and leaves from one of the patterned papers from the 6X6 Verdant Walk paper Pack. I placed them in a visual triangle that guides the eye over the layout. For my journalling I used a couple of sentiments from the Reason To Smile Stamp Set.

Altenew December 2018 Stamp/Die/Paper Pack Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the December 2018 Stamp/Die and Paper Pack Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from Emily Midgett's blog you are right on track.

I love today release SO SO much as there are some awesome new 6x6 paper packs up for grabs and they are stunning.

For my blog I created a layout and a card. For my layout I used the Flower Vine Stamp and Die Set and combined it with the new Altenew Artist Markers.

The layout is really simple and I just added a couple of coloured elements such as the coloured wood veneer word. I made it using the markers too. It is amazing how well they blend on the wood veneer.

You can see how I created the layout in the video below.

For my next project I used the Love Letters stamp set to create a card.

I used one of the patterned papers from the Essential Black and White 6x6 paper pack, added some orange stripes and popped some orange hearts on top using the Love Letter Stamp and Die Set. Simple and effective.

Once again Altenew has released some amazing products. Which do you love?

Altenew December 2018 Markers/Embellishments Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

If you have hopped over from Sveta Fotinia's blog you are right on track. Today’s Release blog hop is probably one of my favourite. I love stamps and dies but sometimes I just want to whip up a quick layout and I don’t have time to stamp and die cut. Loose embellishments are such a timesaver and ready to use. The ones released this month are right up my alley: butterflies, enamel dots and wood veneer elements that I can customize.

For my layout I chose to use the. Butterfly stickers and enamel dots.

I had a whole lot of extra flowers which I had cut out of washi tape and used those too. The layout came together in under 10 minutes.

First I placed my frames and photos to get the general design down on paper. Then I filled the frame with enamel dots and some wood veer elements.

To finish the layout off I added a butterfly to the frame, popped on a title and wrote some journaling. I really love the way it turned out.
