Today Altenew is releasing the PAF Japonica and new Watercolor Brush Marker (Autumn Festival Set). I love the Watercolor Brush Markers and these colours will complement my collection even more. Using them with the Paint-a-Flower sets making colouring super easy.

For today's hop, I created I colourful card by stamping the floral image in full at the bottom of the card base and part of it at the top.

I added in colour with the markers and blended it out with a watercolour brush and water. It is super easy and really fun to do.

I really didn't want to overthink the process and went with quick colouring and blending. To finish off the card I added three yellow enamel dots which pick up the colour in the centres of the flowers.

Welcome to July's Craft-A-Flower Dahlia Blog Hop and Giveaway. If you have hopped over from Virginia Lu's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

The Craft-A-Flower sets are such fun and I especially like this one because of it's larger bloom. I used a subtle patterned paper from the Celebrate 6X6 paper pad and added some older cardstock papers in terracotta and pink colours.

I started by layering the darkest shade, then the lightest and then the in-between colour. For the leaves I went with some hand-painted ones to contrast with the die-cut flower.

To finish the card off, I added a sentiment stamped on to a label from the Dot Labels Stamp Set and popped some enamel dots on.
