Altenew + Pinkfresh Studio “Celebrate” Collaboration Blog Hop Details + Giveaway

26 June 2020

Welcome to the June 2020 Collaboration Blog Hop with Pink Fresh Studio.  If you have come from Jung AhSang's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

The Celebrate collection is fun and above all is full of floral images and designs. It is perfect for documenting any occasion. I love anything floral and even though I only have sons I put florals on everything. The colours are right up my alley.

I created two 12x12 layouts.

The first layout combines a watercolour washed background 12x12 paper that I broke up by adding a vertical strip of floral paper and some torn washi tape. I then cut out a floral shape from one of the 6x6 papers and added some die cut embellishments. So easy and quick to make.

The die cut elements are varied and make crafting super easy. I love that there are several types of embellishments ranging from arrows, frames to floral images.

For my second layout, I used the Celebrate Today Stamp set and stamped it onto a colourful 6x6 paper. I used the coordinating die to cut it out.

I wanted to keep it simple to focus on the lovely floral bouquet on the "Celebrate This Story" patterned paper.

You can see how I created this layout in the video below.

I love how sparkly the images are.

Stamping two images in opposite corners is a great way of getting a balanced card.

Altenew June 2020 Stand-alone Dies Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

17 June 2020

Welcome to the June 202O Stand Alone Die Release Blog Hop. If you have come from Norine Borys 's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop on the Altenew Card Blog

For today's hop I created a couple of projects:

Card 1:

I used the Leaf Border Die to create a fun colourful card. This card is super easy to make but packed with colour. The rainbow washi tape gives it an extra kick.

For my next card I combined the Bold Thanks and Rose Wreath with more fun washi tape. Once again it is a very simple card.

My last project is a layout. This one was made with the Spring Roses Die Set. It took me a little longer to create as I had to cut out all the patterned paper to back the die cuts.

As I had my washi tapes out I also used them on this project.

Prizes:

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog by 6/22/2020 for a chance to win.

They'll also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 6/25/2020.

Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Tulip Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

15 June 2020

Welcome to the Craft-A-Flower Blog Hop and Giveaway. If you have hopped over from blog of the amazingly talented Virginia Lu  then you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

Altenew has started a new subscription package called the Craft-a-Flower. These sets are released monthly and celebrate the beauty of a wide variety of flowers! Each set includes all the pieces you need to create a multi-layered floral arrangement, inspired by our popular 3D flower dies. All you need to add is coloured cardstock and a die cutting machine.

This month the TULIP is being featured.

This is a card I created with the set. I decided to use patterned papers instead of gradient coloured cardstock and also went with a different look for the leaves.

For the leaves I didn't add the layering pieces as I really wanted the polka dot pattern to shine. For the tulip flower itself I chose some pink and red patterned paper. I love the look of the black and the pink/red flower.

What I really love about these sets is that you can create a more traditional look or go in a completely different direction. The possibilities are endless.

Prizes:

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog for a chance to win. They'll also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 06/23/2020.
