Altenew April 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

16 April 2018

Welcome to the April 2018 Blog Hop featuring the latest release at Altenew. If you have hopped over from Svitlana Shayevich's blog, then you are right on track. You can always start the hop over on the Altenew blog.

I created three layouts using a several of the new release stamps and dies. One is featured here on my blog and the other two are on the Altenew Scrapbook blog.

For my layout I used the Gradient Die to cut out a fancy frame which I placed some patterned paper behind.

For my title I used the HELLO die cut and repeated the word using the smaller Mini Hello stamp set.
For detail I added some fun flowers just above the photo using the Folksy Flower stamp set. I love how this layout turned out and I got to use an older photo of my son and husband.

Altenew’s 4th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway

4 April 2018

Welcome to the 4th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2.
If you have come from the AMAZINGLY TALENTED Kristina, then you are right on track. You can start the hop on the Altenew blog if you have just arrived.
I have been on the Altenew Scrapbook Design Team for nearly 2 years and it has been such an amazing experience.
Altenew has supported me in so many ways and I have been able to grow my business because of their support. I still enjoy using their products as much as in the beginning and at each release I am inspired to try out new techniques.

For this anniversary blog hop I created a layout using one of my favourite dies: HALFTONE STARS DIE. I love using it with the coordinating stamps but it is also a great on it own.

I cut out some stars using my large Big Shot die cut machine which can take a 8.5 by 11 inch paper. I popped that onto some foam tape and then added a photo behind one of the shapes.

I used enamel dots from the Our Family Scrapbook collection to fill up two of the stars and popped some of the journal cards from the same collection beneath two others. On one of the cut outs I also added some enamel dots to change it up a bit.
Some star die cuts finish off the layout. I used the sentiments from the Halftone Stars set to add journalling and my title was made with the Script Words die set.

Build a flower Hibiscus release

1 April 2018

This month's Build-a-flower stamp and die set is the HIBISCUS set.

Product description:

Our Build-A-Flower: Hibiscus set includes 1 stamp set (24 images) and 1 coordinating die set (3 dies).

Hibiscus are native to warm climates and are associated with tropical weather and relaxing summer days. Hibiscus flowers have symbolized many things throughout history, but are now most commonly known to represent "delicate beauty." This set comprises of a 6 layer hibiscus flower in full bloom, a 6 layer hibiscus bud with stem, and a 4 layer leaf image. Three sentiments are also included. These floral images work well on cards, layouts, home decor, gift wrapping, and more. We can't wait to see where these beautiful tropical flowers take your imagination!

This special product is only sold as a set, not individually.

My starting point for this layout were the frames from the Create a Wreath die set. I cut out the oval shapes and then I added my clusters.

I stamped each flower in three different colours using the Cherry Blossom, Sweet Dreams and Pocket Full of Sunshine ink sets. For the leaves I used the Green Meadows set.

The background paper is from the Our Family collection and my title is composed with Alphabet letters from Altenew's Reflection and Our Family collections.

I also used the Circled sentiments set to add some stamped words. Once again I used the same colours as in the flowers.

Prizes:
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to six lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog for a chance to win. Three winners will be announced on the Card Blog, and other three winners will be announced on the Scrapbook Blog on 4/8/2018.

Optional Giveaway:
I am also giving away a prize!!! I will draw a winner to receive a $20 gift certificate. Leave a comment by April 6th. I'll announce the winner on my blog on the 7th.
