Charts

30 May 2012

At the Crate Paper blog this week for Creative weekly it's CHARTS week. I have always used charts as they are a great way of organising. This layout was inspired by this RADAR CHART:
For this chart-inspired project, the data is a set of quotes I found at Pinterest. I chose ones that motivated me. After typing them out on cardstock, I arranged them around a polaroid frame in the same way that one would plot data on a radar chart. I then added a vellum envelope to the mix, which holds additional quotes. This layout has a special spot on my scraptable at the moment. I love looking at the quotes.

Birthday card

29 May 2012

I may not be much for a card maker but I do like making birthday cards. Here is one I made with the May My Scrapbook Nook kit. Soon you'll be seeing creations made with the June kit as it arrived today!!!

I just realised there is a layout I have never shown you. Lots of misting and some Basic Grey goodies from older collections!

Happy Tuesday!

Birthday memories

27 May 2012

Today I finally sat done to edit my project life pics. I have been neglecting this project a wee bit too much and nearly thought I'd stop but suddenly it all seems manageable. Hope to show you some more pages soon and there will be a lot to show because I stopped at week 6. I had some time to make another layout with the May Studio Calico kit. Great colours for boys and this picture of Damien and Noé's 7th birthday and Robin's 4th just fit the bill. I used the Sunday sketch from SC as inspiration!

Bright

26 May 2012

like the sun that is shining at the moment , as are the colours in this layout. My stack of ColorConspiracy papers is nearly all used up but I did have one full sheet of a lovely colourful striped pattern. I have got a thing for geometrical patterns lately and this is what I came up with. Some ink, a few strips,  little stars and really long title. It is still growing on me and what's more important  is that I scrapped that pretty picture of Noé.

Oh silly me I nearly forgot to talk about this:
This is what June will look like at my scrapbook nook!

 YUMMY!

Looking back

25 May 2012

I was looking at some pictures from when Elouan was born and I all of a sudden I remembered how afraid I was of how Robin was going to react to his little brother. He was an adorable child but very attached to both my husband and I and I worried a lot he would feel left out. Looking at this picture I realise my worries were unfounded and seeing them together now makes me so happy. They love being together and are the best playmates ever. Funny how a photo can bring back so many unpleasant feelings but at the same time also creates new happy, postive ones.

It's Little Boy Blue's turn

22 May 2012

Bo Peep was amazing and Boy blue is FABULOUS too. Love it as well and as I have oodles of pictures of my boys when they were babies, I'm sure I'll be using this line very often. Here a little project I made for the Crate Paper blog. A doorhnager for a friend who had her baby not that long ago. A little reminder for his older brother that he is sleeping!!

Little Bo Peep

21 May 2012

Has made her way into my home and I love this new line by Crate Paper. I really don't go for theme related collections but this one is hard to resist and as I still have oodles of pictures of my sweet niece and off my guys as babies (I'll be using the boy collection for them) I know I won't have a hard time using this line. I have already made two layouts using the Little Bo Peep line. It's soft and sweet but I'm sure I'll be able to use the papers for other topics as well. Love the greyish brown of this paper:
Une collection qui m'a tout de suite plu même si je ne suis pas attirée par des collections de thèmes. Deux petites pages avec en vedette ma nièce.  J'adore ce papier gris-brun :

and love the floral design on this one!!
et celui-ci avec des motifs florals!!

And have you seen the thickers. Some more for my collection:
Et pour ajouter à ma collection plus que complète:
Well enough talk and here are my two layouts starring my beautiful niece.

Mr Cameo sang Little Bo Beep for quite some time for the following layouts. As you can see I still have a soft spot for hearts!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to be back soon!

Vellum

20 May 2012

is in my point of view an underrated crafting product. I love using it and think it adds so much detail to a layout. It is aslo the topic of my Technique Class/ Challenge over at My Scrapbook Nook, and just because I wanted to make another video I thought I'd talk you through the different ways I use vellum.
Come and play along here.

And here's my layout:

Collage

One of my first assignments for Crate Paper was to create a collage project. I made two and never showed the second one I made. I used little canvases on my layout and added torn pieces of patterned paper. I still love the RANDOM collection and some of those papers are my favourites. Love that cheeky little photo of Damien and Noé. I just can't believe how fast they are growing. Soon they'll be teenagers. Oh why does time fly so fast?

See you on Sunday with this:

And I have some big news for you. Coming really soon!

HAPPY FRIDAY! Off to do some baking with the kids!

Summer ....

17 May 2012

Well not but judging the temperatures here in Belgium but I still made this summery layout using the newest collection from American Crafts SHORELINE. I love the blues in this line and there are a lot of really beautiful graphic papers as well. Don't really like collections that are too themy but this one is really fun.  You can check out the products here.

Now this collection is SUMMER all the way and I can't wait to get my hands on it. It is called TEXTURIZE and it'll be available here as of next week (25th). Isn't it amazing!
