Last day of 2012

31 December 2012

Which means I get to show you my top 12. I did a 12 layout post on 12/12/12 but today I'm going to pick one layout from every month. Before showing those here is the winner of my extra RAK from the SGD farewell post.

Rhonda, send me your address to lilitheeckelsATgmailDOTcom and I'll get your package to you.

Let's take a trip down memory lane!
JANUARY (One of my all time favourites!)

FEBRUARY (One of my first layouts as CP girl, loved working for them!)

MARCH (starting to use photos from my childhood!)

APRIL (pushing myself to use larger photos!)

MAY (puttinh my cameo to good use)

JUNE (more baby photos. LOVE using these)

JULY (I blogged 34 times in July! A record)

AUGUST (started making layouts with less white space!)

SEPTEMBER (LOVE big numbers and it's my little guys bday!)

OCTOBER (Using more and more layers!)

NOVEMBER (and more layers)

DECEMBER (I have used more photos of me this year and hope to do more pages next year too.)

There you have it. I had such a hard time picking as all my layouts are special. Not that I am 100% pleased with how they turned out, but they all tell a story or evoke how I was feeling or what mood I was in. I love how paper help recall such moments. Happy New Year and I wish you peace, love and happiness.

BUSY ...

30 December 2012

I have never been this busy at Christmas. I am working on so many exciting projects and add to that 4 hyperactive boys,  bad weather and you get a whirlwind. Love being busy and being with my boys but this has meant not much scrapping for myself. Can't wait for January and things to calm down a bit. I did manage to squeeze this one in between projects. It is about Elouan's first RIDE in an amusement park. He loved every minute of it and you can see his grin even though he has a pacifier in his month.
I used a whole bunch of products that were lying on my scrap table or very close by.  I still LOVE that sheet of patterned paper from the AC Garden Café collection from last year (colourful stripy one). A bit of Crate Paper, Studio Calico & Lily Bee, some tags from Elle's Studio, a few die cuts made with my cameo, echo park stickers, washi tape and mist, that kinda sums it up.

Last but not least my latest favourite photo:
Et puis ma photo préférée du moment:

Boxing day

26 December 2012

Is not really a big deal in Belgium but it is the day we get together with my family. It was just perfect and really laid back. Love days like these!
I'll pick a lucky winner for my surprise RAK tomorrow. Today I have a layout to show you. I have been quite quiet and you might think I haven't been scrapbooking but that is not the case. It is just that I can't show any of it. This layout was made using the last pieces of the December Scraptastic kit. Can't wait for the January ones. I'll be getting both this time!!!!! Here is a peak:
Aujourd'hui, c'était Noël dans ma famille. J'adore car c'est relaxe et j'aime avoir mes proches au tour de moi. J'ai une petite page à vous montrer, une dernière faite avec le kit de Scraptastic de Décembre. J'ai hâte d'avoir celui de Janvier et puis je vais avoir les deux!!!!  Regarder les aperçus!
CHASING PAVEMENTS:

DAYS OF OUR LIVES!

Here is my layout. I took an older photo out I have had lying around. I am trying to scrap all those printed photos but it is SO difficult as I really have a hard time scrapping larger photos (4*6 is way too big for me!). I tried and I really love this picture of Robin with his cute little fists!
Beaucoup trop grand!

The special delivery chipboard embellishment wasn't in the kit but came from my crate stash and I also added the 8 paper clip.

Oh and before I forget, check  out Stephanie Howell's blog here. It is such an heart-warming post and it moved me!! Thank you Stephanie for being such an inspiration !

Merry Christmas

Goodbye

23 December 2012

[arrving from Nina's blog]
is the saddest thing to say but it is sometimes necessary if we want to move on. Rahel (SwissGirlDesigns) decided to do just that. Take a step back from scrapbooking to pursue her photography career. It is hard but at the same time so exciting. I love seeing her grow as photographer and know this is something which she was made for. Not many people have such an eye for beauty and making it stand out in their photos. I wish her nothing but the best and I know she will do well. Rahel and the SGD DT girls decided to do a little blog hop showing some of our favourite projects using SGD stamps. At the same time we'll be giving away three prizes on the SGD blog. All you need to do is leave a comment on each of our blogs by the 25th and the winners will be announced on the SGD blog on the 26th. I'll also be picking an extra winner who'll receive a RAK from me. So leave a comment and become a follower (if you aren't one already!). I have enjoyed my year as SGD girl and here are three of my favourite layouts:

Now hop over to the AMAZINGLY talented Janna.

Have fun hopping! Here is the list if you happen to get lost which would be unlikely as there are only 4 of us!
Rahel
Nina
Lilith (that's me!)
Janna!

Going back in time

I have been looking through old photos and stumbled across some of Noé playing outside our previous house when he was 2.  At that time I didn't have a good camera. I have such a hard time scrapping these pictures now as I am not satisfied with how they look. Then I said to myself that the quality of the picture wasn't the most important thing. It is the memory, the feeling, the sentiment connected to that moment that was captured. So I scrapped the photo and I am so glad I did.

And just for you as it is nearly Christmas the cut file I made: ABSOLUTELY♥

HELLO

20 December 2012

I am still here but these last few days have been soooooo busy. Correcting exams, making handmade Christmas gifts with the boys for their school Christmas party, going to Damien and Noé music concert (boy did they sing well!) and so much more. I have been working on lots of projects but none of which I can show you. I do have one layout that kinda got forgotten. It is one I made using ILS products.
I played a bit with this one and added a little quirk: I had a Studio Calico happy frame lying in my stash but it was a green colour which didn't go with this particular colour scheme. I was a bit lazy and instead of painting or misting it I just used the white side. I quite like that the happy is back to front!

Farewell SGD

16 December 2012

Some of you might already know but Rahel Menig will be taking a step back from scrapbooking to focus on her photography business. She is really talented and I know her business will flourish. This also means this is my last layout for SGD. The SGD team will go out with a BANG with a blog hop on the 23rd of December. Rahel is also selling her stamps at a discount price of 10$ instead of 14.99$. Check them out here
I wanted to thank Rahel for having me on her team. This year on the SGD team have been really fun. I have enjoyed working with all the stamps and have gotten to know new people. I have loved every minute of it. RAHEL, I wish you nothing than the best and I am sure with your talent you will go far.
The theme this Sunday was A DAY IN DECEMBER. December is a birthday month in our home. A grand total of 3! I have very little layouts of Damien and Noé and so I decided to make one using the theme as title!
