Money holder

28 November 2012

A few months back I got published in CARDS magazine. I made a card/money holder using some packaging. I still LOVE the AC CHAP collection so much! The plastic packaging flips open and you can slip in a couple of notes.

And then there is this card I submitted but it wasn't accepted. A thank you card.

And here are few sneaks of what is coming in December.

Soho Garden

19 October 2012

I knew I would love the Amy Tangerine and Dear Lizzy collections but Soho Garden is as amazing as the latter two. I love the designs and the colours are fabulous. The funky pinks and blue/greens are just up my alley! Yesterday was my turn on the American Crafts blog and this month's assignment was to create 3 cards. I don't make them that often and don't consider myself a good card maker but I really enjoy putting them together!

Here is the link to the American Crafts homepage were you'll find all their products!

Hope to see you soon with more creations!

Cards

28 August 2012

A few months ago my sweet friend Zarah asked if I'd like to make a few cards for the Inzpira magazine and I couldn't refuse. I made three bright cards with a spring theme.
You might have noticed but I didn't post a video on Monday. Don't fret, there is one planned for Thursday!
Have a wonderful day!

Here is the magazine page. see who is next to me!!!

American Crafts cards

4 February 2012

One year ago I would have tried to wiggle my way out of making cards but still had to make them for assignments. Now I'm making them more and more. I still don't consider myself a card maker but I am enjoying myself making them and that's why I started to scrapbook in the first place. So in this post two cards I made for a magazine call but which weren't picked (I submitted 3 and the 3rd did get picked!).
Both are made using the American Crafts CHAP collection.

Ho ho ho ...

30 November 2011

I just can't believe it'll be the 1st of December tomorrow. This evening I'll be finishing off my first pages of my DD and I'll be ready to start. This year has gone by so fast! Some news and some things to show you. First: I can be found in this French scrapbooking magazine (p.10-11). A two-page spread about me.

And then some of my christmas cards went up on the American Crafts blog yesterday. The first one I made with the jolly Hollyday collection. Traditional Christmas colours just the way I like them and another two but I challenge myself to use a "non Christmassy"  line from AC. Love how versatile the collections are!

A sketch and some cards

29 August 2011

When I started scrapbooking I always used sketches. They made me feel at ease and as a novice they were the perfect learning curve. Even now after 7 years of scrapping I still love a great sketch but I use them as starting point and can get a little carried away. Over at the NOOK JC made this sketch for the 15-31 sketch challenge. It inspired me and this is what I came up with. I used the OH SO WONDERFUL Scrapbooknook August kit.

Over at the nook we also had a card swap. This was my first time but it was so much fun. We got paired up and had to send a card kit to the each other and then create. My partner was Miranda Wedekind.
Here's what I got and what I made. Thanks Miranda.
