Altenew + The Daily Marker Color Therapy Blog Hop & Giveaway

18 November 2019

Altenew is collaborating with the amazing Kathy Racoosin from The Daily Marker to inspire crafters to find joy through colouring. Kathy is celebrating her 14th 30 Day Coloring Challenge until the end of November 2019.

If you have hopped over from LauraJane's Blog you are right on track. You can start the hop on the Altenew Card Blog.

I have always loved colouring and have fond memories of sitting outside with a colouring book as a child. To this day I still enjoy the process as it helps me unwind from hectic days. For today's hop, I created a card using the Dainty Blooms Cover Die. I partially die cut the shape making sure my cardstock was thicker than usual. This will ensure that the die doesn't cut all the way through.

Once I had my image I started colouring in the flowers and leaves with Altenew Artist Markers. I used the Artist Markers Set D.

I kept the sentiment very simple by creating a sentiment strip using a sentiment from the Love Letters Stamp Set.

If you want hop over and participate in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge by coloring something and share it on social media using the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. We hope you find “Me Time” and enjoy the benefits that coloring will give.

Altenew November 2019 Gradient Cardstock Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

14 November 2019

Welcome to the Altenew Gradient Cardstock Release Blog Hop and Giveaway. If you have hopped over from Keeway Tsao's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

For today's hop, I created two cards. For the first one, I paired the cardstock with the Layered Rose Die. These cardstocks come in packs of 3 or 4 colour combinations that are perfect for layering. No need to worry about finding matching colours!

For my first card, I cut out two of the three layers from the Layered Rose Die Set. You can layer them but I decided to use them separately. For the leaves, I used some stickers from the Live Your Dream Collection.

My second card was such fun to make. I layered pieces of cardstock in 1/2" strips and glued them down. Then I cut the assembled piece in two, flipped it and layered it on a card base. To add some detail I used a border punch on the front of the card flap and adhered a strip of coloured cardstock behind it.

These cardstock packs are the perfect addition to your craft space. They match the Altenew inks colours and markers and make crafting so much easier.

Altenew November 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

7 November 2019

Welcome to the Altenew November Stamp/Die/Stencil Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from Keeway Tsao's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

For this hop, I created a card with the Breezy Bouquet Stamp and Die Set. When I was editing the photos I noticed I had forgotten to add the stems to the vase. It looks a bit weird but I didn't have time to add them and retake the photos.

I stamped the flower bouquet onto some watercolour paper and coloured it is with the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers. I love how vibrant the colours are.

To add a little detail, I splattered the background with some green watercolour ink which was left on my palette.

The sentiment is so delicate and finishes the card off nicely. I love this set and will definitely be using it more in the future.

Which set has caught your eye?

25 Days of Christmas Tags

4 November 2019

Hello and welcome to the 25 days of Christmas Blog hop. Due to some technical issues the content of my post wasn't visible. I hope it is now.
I used the Brillant Baubles Set to create my tag and coloured it with watercolours. I opted for a more non-traditional colour combination.
