It has taken me some time but I have seen all the entries. I haven't had time to comment on each and every one of them but will try to do so before the end of September. With school starting again I have been running around like crazy trying to get everything done so my time online has been limited. Hope to get round to visiting blog soon when everything has settled down ... a bit.

Summer Colour Video 7

Today I'm bringing you the last video in my summer colour video series. I can't believe summer is over and that in 10 days I'll be back at school teaching. I love my job but hate the transition between the summer holiday and getting back to work. Once things have settled down all will be fine. Today I wanted to mix colour with some black to create a layout full of contrast but still harmonious. I hope you like it.

Summer Colour video 6

Already number 6. Next week will be last week of my summer colour series. I'll have to think of something new for next year. I have some new things planned (still need to work them out) but I hope to talk to you about them by the end of September. I still need to work a few things out with DH. 

This week in the summer colour video I'll be talking about OMBRE. Ombre is a trend that you'll spot in a lot of different areas. It is used in home decoration, fashion, cooking and also in the world of papercrafting. What is OMBRE (or ombré)?

The shade going from light to dark can be achieved in many way with paint, gelatos, or by using patterned papers. For my layout I used strips that I coloured with my watercolours and integrated those into the design of the layout. I hope you like it.
