Altenew | Refresh Your Watercolor Brush Markers Blog Hop + Giveaway

20 September 2019

Welcome to the Altenew Refresh Your Watercolor Marker Refills blog hop and giveaway. If you have hopped over from Laurie Wilkon’s blog you are right on track. You can start the hop on the Altenew Card Blog
Today’s hop features the Altenew Watercolor Marker Refills. They are the perfect product if you need to top up your markers but you can also use them as such.

I created a card with a fun background with the refills and it is so easy to do. You can create an array of backgrounds and each one will be different.

How to:
  1. Take a piece of Watercolor cardstock.
  2. Using a spray bottle, spray the paper with some water.
  3. On a smooth surface add a couple of drops of colour.
  4. Apply the paper to the surface and dab the colour on to it.
  5. Leave to dry.
  6. Finish with a sentiment.

You can see how I created the background of this card in the video below:

I love the card, but the sentiment is priceless! I have a sister who when I send her cards, she never acts as if they are good enough for her. I need to find this sentiment to stamp someplace on her cards..

Well, of course, this is a perfect technique to create beautiful and vibrant backgrounds with these refills or more subdued backgrounds with some added water. They look like fun and are suitable for so many card designs. This one is really cute BTW!
