Altenew Build-A-Flower: Wild Rose Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in total prizes)

It has been such a long time since I crafted. This summer was more about spending time with family. My dad was diagnosed with cancer and this turned all our lives upside down. Crafting just wasn't on my mind. 

This month's BAF is so pretty and dainty. I was surprised how easily I was able to craft. Maybe it was because the stamp set made it so easy. 

I stamped a whole bunch of flowers with a teal/grey and yellow colour combination. Then I just added some stamped outline leaves and a couple of sequins. To add more dimension, I popped the flowers onto some Altenew Foam Tape.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Anemone Coronnaria (GIVEAWAY)

Welcome to the September Build-A-Flower Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from
Svitlana Shayevich's blog then you are right on track. September's BAF set is such a beautiful set and I love the larger flower for scrapbooking.


I created a simple layout with the set but it needed lots of stamping and cutting.
 For the backdrop I used a patterned paper from the Our Family Scrapbook collection. I created a bed of flowers and tucked my photo behind it.

I added some gold accents in three places to create flow and I couldn't resist adding some butterflies too.

Build a flower Hibiscus release

This month's Build-a-flower stamp and die set is the HIBISCUS set. 

Product description:

Our Build-A-Flower: Hibiscus set includes 1 stamp set (24 images) and 1 coordinating die set (3 dies).

Hibiscus are native to warm climates and are associated with tropical weather and relaxing summer days. Hibiscus flowers have symbolized many things throughout history, but are now most commonly known to represent "delicate beauty." This set comprises of a 6 layer hibiscus flower in full bloom, a 6 layer hibiscus bud with stem, and a 4 layer leaf image. Three sentiments are also included. These floral images work well on cards, layouts, home decor, gift wrapping, and more. We can't wait to see where these beautiful tropical flowers take your imagination!

This special product is only sold as a set, not individually.




My starting point for this layout were the frames from the Create a Wreath die set. I cut out the oval shapes and then I added my clusters. 

I stamped each flower in three different colours using the Cherry Blossom, Sweet Dreams and Pocket Full of Sunshine ink sets. For the leaves I used the Green Meadows set. 

The background paper is from the Our Family collection and my title is composed with Alphabet letters from Altenew's Reflection and Our Family collections.


I also used the Circled sentiments set to add some stamped words. Once again I used the same colours as in the flowers.

Altenew Build-A-Flower Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the our Build-a-flower blog hop.
Have you come from Therese Calvird's blog? Well, you are right on track! If not you can start the hop over on the Altenew Card blog.

The Altenew Design team and guests have teamed up to celebrate the Build-a-Flower series from Altenew. I chose you the Carnation set to create a card.

  1. I started by stamping the carnation flowers at the bottom of my card base using a mask so that I could overlap the flowers.
  2. Then I added some leaves and stamped a couple of details to the sides and on the top part. 
  3. I finished it off with the Thinking of You stand alone die.

Altenew: Build-A-Flower: Sakura Blossom *GIVEAWAY*

HELLO everyone.

Today I'm sharing the new Altenew Build-a-flower set. Every month Altenew release a new set which is composed of a stamp set and a coordinating die. I'll also be giving away a gift voucher. Scroll down to find out more.

This month's flower is the Sakura Blossom.


The Sakura blossom is a lovely Japanese flower, and is known as a cherry blossom in some parts of the world. "Sakura" is derived from the Japanese word for "bloom" - "saku." In the United States, tourists travel to our capital, Washington D.C., to see the flowers bloom at the annual cherry blossom festival. This stamp set features layered cherry blossoms and leaves, and the accompanying die have score details to help you create 3D flowers.

I created two cards with the set:

For my first card I just used the leaf stamps and used two colours from the Tropical Forest Mini ink cube set. I them stamped the sentiment in permanent black ink on top.




For my second card I stamped a couple of flowers using the Cherry Blossom ink set and for the centre I used some Razzleberry embossing ink. I added a heart shape cut out using one of the Heart nesting die and opted for some Birch wood speciality paper from Altenew. I just love the variation of sentiments on this set.
