Altenew Storybook Fantasy Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

9 March 2021

Welcome to the Storybook Fantasy Blog Hop and Giveaway. If you have hopped over from
Michelle Short's blog, you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

Today's release is packed full of amazing new products. I had a hard time choosing which to user first. I created a card and a layout.

The Tall Tale Stamp Set was the one that immediately drew my attention. I stamped it on some smooth cardstock and coloured it with artist markers.
As I used an A2 card sized card I couldn't use the full image. I cut it out with the coordinating die and then cut part of it off to mimic two shelves.

I wanted to keep the card simple but fill the white space a little so I used a couple of enamel dots.

For my layout, I combined the Tall Tale and Fairy Tale Florals Stamp Set. I coloured the stamp with the girl sitting on the books and created a floral feature using the outline stamp from the Fairy Tale Florals Stamp Set.

I wanted the background to still be visible under the floral image so I stamped it on some vellum. To add colour I used Artist Makers and I coloured the image from the back to limit smudging. This technique creates a fun look which emulates stained glass.

The remaining embellishments came from my embellishment box and I added Moroccan Mosaic to the peach pink background paper from the Celebrate Collection.
