So ...

17 July 2012

As I mentioned in the previous post I made 3 layouts recently. I don't like any of them. Here are two of the three layouts (haven't even taken a picture of the third as I might use parts of it for an art journal page). Wendy told me I should show them and so I will. I have learnt that I need to let things go a bit and accept that not everything can be as I want or imagined it to be.
2 pages à montrer que je n'aime pas du tout! Mais comme mon amie Wendy m'a dit que je devais le montrer je le fais!

The first one a no picture layout featuring the names of my boys!

The second made with a not so perfect picture but a perfect memory!

I like your layouts, both of them.
With the first one, I like how you put four single parts together to one layout. Each quarter is beautiful on it's own and how you put them together makes them much more beautiful.
With the second layout, I like the colours, the different kind of embellishment and there's so much to discover. Just beautiful!!! I'd be really interested, how your third layout looks like.

But I can understand, that sometimes there are layouts anyhow you don't like. Everybody sais they look beautiful, but someone itself doesn't see this beautiness.

Yours
Christine

I think they are both lovely, but I know I have not liked a page before and have been reluctant to share.

I really adore both of these (but I love ALL of your work!) though and I am happy you did in fact share them:)

I think you're too hard on yourself. ;) I love that you're always trying something new, and because of that some things won't always turn out the way you want them to. But keep going! Part of the fun is the playful journey along the way.

As Deanna said, I love that you're always trying new things and aren't afraid to share them! I think the photoless layout is perfect...I really do love it. And the Friends layout is very handsome and original...great job, Lilith! You always inspire :)

I can understand your feelings! I too have often been critical of various things I have made as well and have felt reluctant to share with others. I think that is only normal. However, I am glad you decided to share because I also believe these are really great pages. I totally love the concept and design of your name page... would be pefect in an album about them!

You are definitely being too hard on yourself here Lilith! They are both lovely pages. As I keep telling a friend of mine , people cannot see what marvels you create in your head. Even if a project turns out differently and you may feel a bit disappointed yourself,...to the rest of us the result may be wonderful. Like here!!
