 I created a layout to celebrate this special occasion and used the  DEAREST FRIEND stamp set from Altenew. I combined one of the stamped images with the Altenew Tropical Fiesta Watercolor Markers to create a vibrant flower arrangement.

To create the coloured image I started with some watercolour cardstock and added water and colour. Once it was dried I stamped my image with Black Permanent Ink from Altenew. 

 I cut out around myself and my son in the photo so that I could tuck this part of the photo behind the flowers. I also cut out some leaf shapes from one of the patterned papers from the Live Your Dream collection. A couple of embellishments from the same collection add detail and for my title, I used the sentiments from the stamp set.

I created a spread for my planner/notebook. I used watercolours so the paper of the planner did move a bit but I quite like the look. It was so simple and easy to do and now I have a pretty page which makes me happy.

 What I love about this set is that there are many layering options. You can layer many images, or keep it simple and just do a two or three.

 I picked blue and green tones and used the sentiment stamps to create a custom title.

You can also acquire the bundle which has the stamp, die and mini inks so that you can start creating to your heart's content.

Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

I created a layout combing the Beautiful Blossoms Stamp set and the Watercolor Brush Markers. I started by stamping and embossing the flower image with Platinum Embossing Powder and then added the colour. 

I love how vibrant the colours are and how easy they are to use. A blue and pink drop set off the coloured images perfectly and acetate butterflies add movement and flow.

Altenew March 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil/Ink Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the March 2019 STAMP, DIE and INK Release Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from Norine Borys's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

 Once again Altenew has outdone themselves creating some stunning products. I picked the Wall Art Set to work with as it offers so many possibilities. It comes with a stamp, die and stencil/mask set which makes it perfect for stamping and many other techniques. 
I started off by stamping the flower images with some Permanent Black Ink from Altenew and I let that dry for a couple of hours. Do let it dry for at least 30 minutes and heat set it with a heat gun if you want to avoid the black ink bleeding. 

Once the ink was dry I used the new inks to add colour to the leaves and flowers. The stamping was so easy to do as I could use the masks to mask off the images. 

Once the colour was dry I could start working on the design. I kept it really simple and added my photo, a title using die cuts from the new LIVE YOUR DREAM SCRAPBOOK COLLECTION and some sentiments from the One Day At A Time stamp set.
