Dear oh Dear

8 May 2014

I promised to pick a winner on Monday for American Crafts blog hop. I have had a tummy bug and just when I think it is over it pops up again. I'm so sorry for the delay. Now let's announce a winner :

and the winner is .............................................................
Send me your snail mail address to lilitheeckelsATgmailDOTcom and I'll get your prize in the mail.

Now for some layout created with products from SCRAPBUTTONS. This is a really fun brand which makes flair, badges, watercoloured papers (just add water to the colour and it dilutes itself) and lots more.  You can check out their products in the SCRAPBUTTONS SHOP.

Here is my first layout with a LARGE badge. I made it a focal point and added a couple of buttons onto it.

For the second layout I used special papers which have pigmented colours which dilute in water. Just brush some water over them and create an easy watercolour look.

NSD American Crafts BLOG HOP

3 May 2014

Welcome to the American Crafts blog hop. If you are following the hop order you have arrived here via Patricia Roebuck amazing blog. The full blog hop list is just below.

Today we celebrate national scrapbooking and the AC DT thought it would be fun to have some challenges to go with the hop. Mine is :

USE BITS AND PIECES: what is leftover.
I created this layout with some scraps of my favourite papers from the AC collections. I love keeping strips of patterned paper I love.

I'll be giving away a surprise envelope with fun AC goodies. I get so many I can't use them all. Just leave a comment in the comment section and I'll pick a winner on Monday evening.

Embossing and die cutting

2 May 2014

Today I have two layouts to share. The first was made for the Glitz Design blog (hop on over to see what the other DT girls made, you'll be amazed) where we focused on EMBOSSING. I used two techniques on my layout. Dry embossing and heat embossing (combined with a resist technique). I used my NEW BIG SHOT which I got from sizzix. I'll be posting two layouts a month using the sizzix products. I love how easy it is to add detail with some embossing.

The second layout was made for fun using my Studio Calico kit and once again I pulled out my Big Shot to cut out some labels. When DH is on the main computer I can't use my cameo and my Big Shot has come to my rescue a couple of times.
