Gardener's Digest

22 March 2013

If you have hopped over from Jill Sprott's blog your are on track!!!

WHAT??? That time of the month again? Where did the month go???? Time is flying by so fast, and that is a good thing because that means warmer weather, pretty spring colours and lots of photo opportunities. I really love this blog hop at 2peas because I take time to look through the gallery and enjoy all the amazing inspiration.
This month I was inspired by this creation.
Sasha Farina is just an awesome designer and this layout just jumped out at me. It is amazing.

Here are some products I have just bought or that are on my wish list. The Ormolu stamp set is just so much fun! Can't wait to get my hands onto it.
I have also been waiting for the Alison Kreft collection to hit the store and I am slightly obsessed with that camera washi tape!!! I am also a sucker for mist and thickers so the new Sundrifter mists had to be part of my mist collection as well as those FAB Amy Tangerine Yes Please thickers!

Now here is a little peek of my video that will be going live on Monday!

No class this time but I'll be giving away a $10 gift voucher to the twopeas store. Just leave a comment and become a follower on bloglovin or via google and I'll pick a winner on Friday March 29th. Don't forget to mention your peaname!

Happy hopping
Next stop THE AMAZING CORRIE JONES
Lilith.

Here is the full list of all designers taking part in the hop.

Gardener's Digest

22 January 2013

Welcome to my first ever Gardener's digest at 2peas. Each month you'll get the opportunity to hop from one DT member to the other discovering what inspires us and the products we love. It is so much fun. If you've come from Marcy Penner's blog  you're on track. Here is the list of all the DT members taking part in the hop:

This is a digital layout by MAMATOTHREE and I think it is AMAZING. I might try and create something similar but with paper. I love the colours and all those polaroid photos. Just stunning.

1. Darling Dear (Studio Calico) calendar pockets: I love these little pockets and think they look great on a layout and they are such a nice product if you are doing Project Life.
2. Squeeze Punch (Jenni Bowlin): I haven't got it yet but can't wait to use this star one.
3. Little Kisses photoshop action: I never knew 2peas had actions for sale but I snatch this one and I am SOOOOOO impressed. There are many more and I love using them.
4. Good Times Stamp ( Mama Elephant) : BRAND new to the store and they are in my cart!!!
5. I have just started using them and I am in love. These printed tags from are my favourties at the moment.

This is a little peak of the layout I made for my video for the 213 in 2013 series. I hope you'll stop by on Monday January 28th when it'll go live.

You’ll dive into design principles and learn how to create an eye pleasing design. You’ll learn all about composition & balance in a way that will take your cards from good to great!
Become adventurous and explore some of the hottest trends in paper crafting! In this workshop, you’ll also learn how to incorporate colors in your projects & how to create cards in several unique styles.
Included in this workshop are over 30 brand-new card samples from Julie and her contributors. The three chapters contain a printable PDF for a total of over 40 pages, and 80 minutes of coordinating video tutorials. Julie’s talented contributors include card makers Laura Bassen & Michelle Wooderson.
At the end of this journey, you’ll find a BONUS chapter filled with souvenirs! Create a trendy card set with the card making kit designed by Marcy Penner of Hello Forever. The kit will be available for download as a PDF and as a cutting file you can use with your Silhouette machine.
The content of this workshop will be available immediately upon purchase. The lessons are available for you to work at your own pace and upon purchase can be accessed in the "Workshops" section under "Classes & Events." PINCH ME!!!

1 January 2013

First of all, let me wish you all a happy New Year. 2012 was a wonderful year family wise and crafting wise too. I am so blessed and grateful. I had a big secret and was dying to tell someone but couldn't until today. Indeed I still think I'm dreaming. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that one day I'd be a GARDEN GIRL. It was so unexpected and I am beyond thrilled and hope to inspire you throughout the year.
I am also honoured to be working with these amazingly talented girls. Pinch me again. Me a garden girl with Shimelle, Elizabeth Kartchner, Amy Tan and so many more ... my scrappy heroes!
My first project has just gone up and it is different from what I usually do. It is a two-pager but I tell you I am going to be making more of them. I tried PL last year and it didn't work but I have decided to do a two pager every month documenting moments from that month. I loved working on this layout and it is different but still me. I went all mad with a long title mixing and matching alphabets , stamps and die cuts. I used my mists and even managed to layer papers. For a full list of materiel you can check out my post in the gallery: here.

2peas also has lots of fun videos in store and I'll be working on this one.
But there are many more. Check them out here.

It is going to be an exciting year. Thank you for letting me share and here is to year full of creating, happiness and love.
