Altenew January 2023 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

17 January 2023

Hello Altenew friends and welcome to the January 2023 Subscription Blog Hop and Giveaway. If you have hopped over from Mindy Eggen's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop on the Altenew blog.

I created two cards for this release. The first features the Paint A Flower Carefree Stamp Set. I decided to create a simple card using two shades of green and two shades of blue/purple. I picked out these shades from my Watercolor Brush Markers from Altenew.

To add a little bit of detail and create a border, I doodled a double line around the card's edges and added a hint of silver watercolour paint in the centres of the flowers.

My second card uses the Spark Joy Fluttering Butterflies Set. I didn't use the foil plate this time but decided to doodle around the butterflies to create the detail.

Which is your favourite? Don't forget that you can sing up for your favourite subscription.

Water-colored cards always seem like spring to me--maybe because of the light, translucent colors. Your cards are beautiful.

Hi Lilith, these cards are so very pretty. I love the watercolor effect. The silver in the middle of the flowers on the first cards is a nice effect. I also love the layout of the butterflies. I am a first year crafter and I appreciate you posting a card that I can use as a guideline. Thanks. I look forward to your next cards.
