Altenew Dreamy Bouquet Fabric Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

17 February 2022

Hello there everyone and welcome to the Dreamy Bouquet Blog Hop featuring Altenew's newest product: Fabric Collection. If you have hopped over from Laurie Willison's blog you are right on track. You can start the hope over on the Altenew Card Blog.

I created a tote bag with the fabric pieces and used 4 of the 5 designs so that it can be turned inside out.

I created two panels each with two designs. Before sewing everything together I added a thin layer of fiberfill. You can get it in different thicknesses and I went with the thinnest. I stitched around the edges and added bright pink bias as well some stripped ribbon.

The stitching of the bias isn't perfect and it has been a while since I used it. I thick I could have gone with a wider width as my layers were pretty thick. Overall I'm really happy the way it turned out. I created it without a pattern and just went with the sizes of the panels.

Don't you think the colours are amazing?! I wish they would make them in regular fabric size because I could see myself making a dress with several of these designs.

The prints are beautiful and your tote is very pretty. I like that you went for the mix and match method to use up as much of the fat quarter as posible. Thanks for the inspiration Lilith!
