Altenew All Things Handmade Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

4 February 2022

Welcome to the All Things Handmade Blog Hop and Giveaway. If you have hopped over from Therese Calvird's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

For today's hop I created two projects with the same products. I used the new Alcohol Ink Backgrounds 6x6 Paper Pack and combined the paper with the Mod Vases Die Set.

For my layout, I created a "shelf" for my vases.
How to:
  1. Cut out a variety of vase shapes with the dies from the Mod Vases Die Set.
  2. Add some Turquoise Watercolor Brush Marker onto some scrap plastic and spray with water.
  3. Tap the plastic onto some white cardstock and create a blue inky background.
  4. Create a shelf with two slim washi tapes (Cool Summer Night Slim Washi Tape Set)
  5. Arrange your vases on the shelf.
  6. Cut out some leaves using the Just Leaves Die Set. Pop them in some of the vases.
  7. Place your photo and add a doodled edge.
  8. Stamp your title with the You Are Everything Stamp Set.

I didn't add any other embellishments as the colourful vases are more than enough. I did add some doodled scribbles.

For my card, I used up the leftover vases from the layout.  I layered a piece of cardstock from the Alcohol Ink Backgrounds Paper Pack and layered it on top of some Altenew Navy cardstock. I also cut out a vase from the navy cardstock.

To make the vases stand out, I drew a border around the edges with a white and black pen.

I'm not sure which I like more, the alcohol ink background papers or the mod vases stamps. They're both wonderful, and I LOVE the way you've used them here. Lovely work!
