Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

7 August 2020

Welcome to the August 2020 Craft-A-Flower Daisy Release Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from Kelly Griglione's blog you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

This month's CAF set is WONDERFUL. I loved putting together these amazing flowers and they are just the right size. When I use layering dies I usually BATCH die cut a whole bunch. I have a couple of flowers that I'll be able to use on several projects. I put the extra flowers in my little embellishment bowl.
Craft A Flower Daisy: Lilith Eeckels
I picked out some pretty cardstock papers from my paper stash. I went with yellow and added some brown for the centre.
Craft A Flower Daisy: Lilith EeckelsOnce I had cut out the different elements I assembled all the flowers and leaves. For my card background I used a patterned paper from the 6*6 Cheerful Meadows paper pack. The sentiment comes from the Floral Shadow Stamp Set and is stamped with Obsidian Black Ink.

As I was looking a my card I felt something was missing so I added some stems by drawing some fine lines with a black journaling pen.

I'll be using this set a lot as I love the size of the flower and the simplicity of it. It is so super easy to put together.

You can see how this layout came together in the video below:

I love how you shared how you make large batches of die cuts when you utilize a set, so that you have more for another future project. It is definitely a time saver, and something I often forget to do! Thanks for sharing ❤️

Such a great video! I enjoyed the layering demo- so often layering feels so daunting. And your card is beautiful. I didn't think daisies were one of my favorite flowers, but now I do!
