For today's hop, I created a card. I am really enjoying watercolouring at the moment and try to practise regularly. Watercolouring stamped flowers is my new favourite thing to do so when I got this set I knew I wanted to practise my colouring skills.

I started by stamping the flower image with some very light ink. I used Vanilla Cream from Altenew. It is a waterbased ink and I love using it for no-line watercolouring.

Lydia who is also on the team taught me a trick when it comes to no-line watercolouring. For the best results, you should work on petals, leaves, etc that aren't touching. Work your way around the flower or arrangement and before starting on an adjacent element, make sure the one next to it is completely dry. This will ensure you get the best results.

I am really happy with the result of the hydrangea flower but still need to work on the leaves.

I have been on the Altenew Design Team for nearly 4 years and I still love crafting with their products. I have discovered new products and my love for stamping has grown ever since. Using Altenew products is such fun and every month I'm overjoyed to discover and use their new products.

Times are a bit aery and scary at the moment and having this crafting community is really important for me. Crafting is keeping me sane.

For today's hop, I created two projects using the Wild Flora Stamp and Die Set and the coordinating Washi Tape.

I created the flowers of this card on one of my Live session on Altenew's YouTube Channel. All I had to do was pop them on a card and add a sentiment.

I used the Essential Watercolor Pan Set and the Metallic Watercolor Set to colour the flowers. Stamping an image and then water colouring it is so calming, especially in these difficult times.

My second project is an 8.5"x11" layout. I used two washi tapes for this layout:

Wild Flora Washi Tape
Gold Splatter Navy Washi Tape

I cut out the floral shapes using the coordinating dies and for the flowers that had no die, I hand cut them.

The Gold Splatter Navy Washi Tape is the grounding colour which I added to the bottom of the cardstock. The flowers pop out of the top part. To break up the blue I added some typed journaling strips.

I love the dainty look of the flowers and they were really easy to cut out with the coordinating dies.
