Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Poppy Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

22 January 2020

Welcome to the Paint-A-Flower Blog Hop and Giveaway. If you have hopped over from LauraJane 's blog, you are on the right track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

Altenew's Paint-A-Flower stamp sets are released monthly and celebrate the beauty of a wide variety of flowers! Each stamp set features an outline image of a gorgeous floral arrangement, just waiting to be painted or coloured with your favourite medium. There's no need for you to spend time layering and masking images, as we have designed these sets to allow you to stamp once then colour!

This month's flower is the POPPY. It is one of my favourites. It grows in the fields around my village and I love seeing those pops of red in the fields.

I created a card with the stamp set and used my Altenew Watercolor Palette to add colour to the background and flower. It is so easy to do.

I decided to stamp the image with embossing ink and add white embossing powder. You will get a crisp white edge and the watercolouring is a lot easier because the embossed lines will keep you colour from going outside the edges.

TIP: use good quality watercolour paper as you'll be able to play around with the colour a lot more.
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 1/28/2020 for a chance to win.

Altenew will also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew Card Blog on 1/30/2020.

Lovely card. It is so delicate, it looks like it could fall right off the page. It is interesting -- most of the pink flowers created have been soft and delicate like yours, while the yellow flowers have been very bold and strong in both colors and shading.
