Hero Arts and Altenew Partners Blog Hop

23 October 2019

Welcome to the Hero Arts and Altenew Partners Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from Libby Hickson's blog you are right on track. you can the hop over on the Hero Arts blog

The stamp for today's hop is this amazing set. I knew I wanted to use it to work on my watercolouring skills.
How to:
  1. Stamp the floral image using very light ink. I used Altenew Buttercream.
  2. Colour the image with your favourite watercolours. I used the Altenew Watercolor Pan but you could also use the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers or any other watercolour medium.
  3. Once the image is coloured and dry add some colour to the background. I went for soft blues and greens.
  4. Finish off with some ink splatters.

I still have so much to learn when it comes to watercolouring but I am getting better and better each time I practise.

The best part of this hop, other than all the amazing inspiration is the PRIZE part.
There will be 3 prizes, drawn from comments left across the blog hop:
- One winner will receive the stamp set!
- One winner will receive a $25 shopping spree at Altenew
- One winner will receive a $25 shopping spree at Hero Arts

You have until Sunday, October 27th to leave your comments, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog next week.

Hi Lilith :) I would've never thought to combine the background color with the peony color but it almost has the effect of a water lilly on water....delightful!!! Thanks for inspiring me :)
