Birds ...

13 August 2012

Welcome to another Monday and as it is the first day of a new week it means it is video time. Today I thought I talk about pastels and show you how you can use them. To showcase the theme I created a canvas. I used gelatos. I am not an artist but I can draw decently if I have an example and this canvas was inspired by a print I saw in an Etsy shop. I thought I could reproduce it instead of buying it! My canvas isn't as beautiful as the print but I am pleased with it and it will look lovely on one of the wall in our home. I had so much fun creating it!
Here is the print (isn't it gorgeous!!!! If you click on it you'll be redirected to the Etsy shop were I found it.):

Now the video:

I have been wondering just how gelatos worked in comparison to oil pastels for sometime now. It seems that you have answered my question and inspired me, both at the same time. Wonderful comparison and wonderful art work too. For the India ink did you use a fine brush or a special pen?
