Catching up

26 June 2012

I started Project Life in January and kept taking pictures and jotting things down but never really got any further than week 6. Well I've been playing catch up and in two days managed to complete weeks 7 through to 16. Hoping to get weeks 17 to 22 done by Sunday. Then I'll have to get my pictures printed for the weeks that followed! Next year I'll do it again but I'll have to find an easier way. Maybe in art journal form. We'll see. So here are weeks 7 to 16 (weeks 8, 9, 10) have been saved for another occasion!). Using my Sassafras goodies. Boy do I miss them!

Oh and then a sneak of a layout I made but that I can't show yet. It must be one of my favourites to date!!!!!

The first photo lifts up to reveal another 2.

Oh not to forget my sneak!

No yellow this time but PINK

24 June 2012

I made this layout a while ago and couldn't show as it had to go live first. As it was programmed for June 1st and didn't go live I am going to show it as it is also one of my American Crafts extra projects. Love the pink even though it is a page about my youngest son.

Supplies: Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection from American Crafts. Shop here.

Wishing you the best for the coming week.

More Yellow

23 June 2012

But this time with American Crafts. I'm begging for summer to finally arrive. I'm sick and tired of the rain and the grey that has been lurking around here for quite some time. I really need sunshine and warm weather. Well still in summer mood though, so here's a layout I made for the SwissGirlDesigns blog using Rahel's stamps. I use them all the time!!!!! Got to dig into the Shoreline collection from AC. It just screams summer, sun and fun! I still had this photo of Damien with sunglasses and thought I'd put it to good use. At the time he was trying to play cool! Seems very serious. I burst out into laughing seeing the picture because he is the jolliest person around and can be extremely silly.
Did you know you Rahel is looking for a new DT. Check it out here!

Yellow

20 June 2012

Summer is  here , at least that is what I keep telling myself. I hope it'll be sunny during the holiday period. No sun outside so I thought I'd make my own. Over at the Crate Paper blog it's Creative Weekly and this week is dedicated to SUNSHINE YELLOW. They are sooooo many shades of yellow in the Crate collections and they are all LOVELY. Here's my project. A wooden window frame that opens up (came from Au petit Bois.) I made it for my sister's daughter who is a little Miss Sunshine. On the inside little pockets into which they can put little notes or pictures.

See you all soon.

Remarks?

19 June 2012

(Winners announced in post below!!!)
Stickers!LOVE the remarks stickers from American Crafts. I use them on everything. This week on the AC blog it is Remarks stickers week. My projects went live yesterday! Check them out here and don't forget to comment as you can win some stickers!

Here is my first layout. One of my sweet niece. I used some of the Dear Lizzy flutterbys and piled them up. What is nice about the stickers is that you can layer them and create your own embellishments. FUN!

Supplies: Indigo Inspiration Paper (35686) – Sketchbook, Scene Cascade (53341) – Thickers, Cascade Taffy (53342) – Thickers, Printed Chipboard Shapes (77290) – Bits, Palette Accent & Phrase Stickers (42240) – Remarks Books, Pigment Fabric Stickers (42241) – Remarks, Doodle Dimensional Stickers (42243) – Remarks, Dear Lizzy Premium Ribbon (58805) – Premium Ribbon

For this second project I had a hard time deciding which side of the patterned paper I was going to use. I loved both but only had one sheet. This is what I did:
J'ai eu difficile de décider quelle des deux côtés utiliser pour ma page et voici ce que j'ai fait:

I cut the border strip off, and cut the patterned paper as well .

Then I flipped the top part and adhered the parts together (tape on the back , border on the front).

And this is the finished product!
