Twice a month I blog about a project created with my Sizzix goodies. I really love my Big Shot and and when I don't have the time to set up the cameo and cut something out, it is on hand and is quick to use. I still use my cameo loads but sometimes the main computer which it is connected to isn't accessible (DH is on it) and having a back up plan is always a good thing. 

The following  layout came together really quickly. I went with pinks & blues and added a couple of leaves.

Publications part 2

In this post I showed two of the several layout I had published in Esprit Scrapbooking. The next layout was part of my vellum article as it the card. I LOVE using vellum and still use it. It adds such softness and detail to a layout. I stamped and embossed on vellum using gold embossing powder. JUST LOVE how it turned out. The photo was printed onto a sheet of vellum. If you want to print I'd advise you to pick the option which uses the least ink and use vellum which is thicker. That way it won't warp.

And here is the card which was made with a vellum pocket.

Inspired by ...

There are so many scrapbookers and artists that inspire me and one of them is Wilna Furstenberg. Not only is she any amazingly talented artist, scrapbooker and photography but she is also an amazing person. Her work is full of poetry and her love for her girls shines through every layout. She has been creating cut files which are so beautiful and I created a layout using this one which you can get for free. Here is a link to her shop: Wilna's Shop

I used the hearts and not the background for my layout as I am using it for another project. I also used one of her brush script words for the title. 

 

I used a lovely flair from the SCRAPBUTTONS shop. Just love the paint/stitching effect on it. 

I love the title because it is something I try to do each and every day. Speak from the heart. Quick often I forget to listen to my feelings and I have learnt that hiding and ignoring them hasn't done me or those I love any good. I am learning each and every day to speak from my heart.

Publications

I have been working for Esprit Scrapbooking, a French scrapbooking magazine for a year now. I still love it even though it is hard coming up with new articles and topics. Here is a layout I created for the April-May 2013 edition. I had to work with a colour combination consisting of shades of purple, blue and green. 

The next layout was made for my article about vellum. I made several projects for the article but will show only one today and leave the others for the weekend.

Solo Trip

I'm working my way through the photos I took on my solo trip to Paris. I had such fun meeting up with friends from the Scrapbooking industry but also ventured out into Paris and walked and walked and walked. This was one of the pictures I took (with my phone).
